[Deeluxe 325, 225, Free 69?]

My new setup is a Free69 shell, Palau/Deeluxe 151 WIDE thermo liner and intec heels all a la carte. The plastic these days in this series is softer plastic than my ancient Raichle 325t that I am replacing, so while it really is indeed just a yellow modern 325, its a new softer flex for me. While a wide foot like mine may be better in a 700, that is too much boot for me these days, and the liner has molded well to my f'ed up feet. I can't speak to the other laceup liner available in the Free69, but I prefer wrap to tongue any day.

I do have the Deeluxe heel holder thing from my Spark softies and may give that a try for hold in conjunction with the Booster straps. A lot of monkeying around, but happy feet are worth their weight in gold.

SES or any session may not be the best place to judge. People want to bring out the heavy artillery boards and make great turns that push/inspire each other at those things.

Riding with other hardbooters is a far different experience for me than riding with family and friends who are expert skiers not satisfied with making perfect turns on blue groomers and that is where I get most of my all mountain riding in.

Carvers Almanac site kinda was the wiki until it just stopped being updated some years back. Still has value, but an updated version of that would be awesome.

It can be cheap to buy from Europe, but it undercuts some of the same SKUs that Bomber is selling.

 

I will agree that the Canadian Dollar is a bargain right now (hi new Coiler!) and the Euro, while not as close to par as it was in the fall is still good compared to most of the last 10 years.

New Coiler arrived today--I feel fortunate to get one given the titanal situation.

It is a VSR AM to replace my 10+ year old Axis for an all mtn board.

I like snowcats, was inspired by another board I saw (Corey D's Anggry) and designed myself some vector graphics.
