  1. Thanks for the replies. I probably should have gone metal, but these have held up 5 years with light maintenance and I will expect the same out of the replacements. @Wolfinteresting re: silver vs black plastic. Donek site pix look like all black. That’s what I grabbed.
  2. Has anybody ever seen this before? I was struggling to clip in rear boot last time out. Cleaned heels off and found tread piece separating from rest of heel that was the culprit and couldn’t “snap” it back in. All four screws were tight holding hard part of heel to boot. New set ordered needless to say. Just a reminder to constantly check these parts out frequently for safety. And no, never going back to traditional.

    DGSS 2.0

$3 at home depot got me 2 sizes of squishy plastic thread protectors to layer on top of each other and keep the threads clean and not ripping anything.

Just installed these this week. Testing this weekend. Easy install. Thanks Drupi. I think I will find some rubber screw protectors at Home Depot to reduce the sharpness of the top threads and do my pants a favor.
  5. This is the irony of my snow-chasing life. Ship my seldom-used powder board out to MCC and fly out to Montana the morning after it is due to dump a foot plus on New England. The no lift lines will be a welcome sight though—it has been rough lately in that regard.
  6. Thanks Geoff. I had leftover unused Alaska Airlines tix so I am BOS->SEA->SPOKANE early Sunday. Staying at Venture.
  7. Flying out from Boston so I can meet people I am too lazy to meet at Wachusett. Looking forward and thanks Dave for organizing.
  8. My strategy is to mount my “good” F2’s on my carver for the week and bring my spare set to pop on and off demos and or my powder board as situation warrants.
  9. Great read—thank you. Trying to work out a Loaf + Saddleback trip this year if I can.
  10. Looks great, Jack. A question I never knew the answer to is: how did this western (Utah, I think) brand wind up in Maine? AC
  11. Yyz is out of stock as is Donek. That is why I am asking here. Thanks
  12. Looking to not have to ship from Europe. Anyone got some?
  13. Dave, You can borrow my risers, pads and long screws if you want to try before you buy. I have been using my Titanflex as just flat regular Titaniums. LMK AC
  14. They work great for both. I am just all in on alpine snowboard this year.
  15. Here are my F2 Carve RS bindings including a second lift kit/extra shims and long bolts that I bought. These will fit mondo sizes 22.5 - 31.5. Never ridden. I thought I was AT booting this year, but chickened out and went back to my Intecs. $150 plus shipping USPS Priority from 01760 (MA), Paypal or Venmo works.
  16. Got the SC out for the first time today at Jiminy. Awesome. Heelside revelation! Thanks Mark.
  17. I experimented last year with trying to ski and ride in the same day in the same boot, so I bought these beautiful boots from a member here. This year I am rededicated to hardboots and alpine setup, so I will let these move on. Great for powder, trees, and of course amazing for hiking, walking and feeling like you are wearing light sneakers. Here is the bill of materials: Atomic Backland Carbon 27/27.5 shell Phantom spring levers (they sell for $200 on their own) with all hardware and all 4 spring stiffnesses Booster straps installed by me Intuition Dreamliners 27 Original Atomic liners 27/27.5 Original Atomic walk mode levers $450 obo shipped. Happy to take more pics for anyone interested. -ac
  18. That *is* why I ordered this board—the ride and what it might do for my riding. Sorry to talk about the color *during* the season. If I need to spend $1200 on a snowboard, you can bet I want it to look how I want it to look. Thanks.
  19. @davekempmeister here is your camber shot and @Kneel here is outdoor even though it is cloudy an gray and @b0ardski it is the actual pantone colors from the Oregon palette even though I am east coast and have no school affiliation. Just liked the colors.
  20. First Thirst for me. Pretty excited to get out there. WARP Superconductor 175/19.1. As with most Thirsts I have seen, it’s hard to capture the brilliance of the topsheet in indoor light, but it’s awesome and never looks exactly the same from any angle. Thanks MM for a great build with remarkable attention to detail and finish.
