  1. I was curious, for those of you who use an insulated mid-layer jacket, what is your preference between down or synthetic insulation for inbounds, lift accessed snowboarding purposes?? (eg: a down sweater vs synthetic jacket?)

I'm looking for something to layer in between base & shell, and was wondering what people preferred/swear by on BOL.

    Thanks! :biggthump

  2. Japan wins VS Denmark 3-1, advancing to the round of 16!

(I even bet against Japan in my bracket, so I am VERY pleasantly surprised, and just put in for 1/2 day off on the 29th for the Round of 16 match against Paraguay.)

For Japan, this is a HUGE honking deal, as prior to this World Cup, they have never won a match on foreign soil during World Cup competition.

Even in a Japan, where Soccer trails in popularity behind Sumo & Baseball, they televise the majority of games that the National Team plays on Free National TV, and the players and team receive enough coverage so that majority of the general public are aware of the team and their performance, and I am sure that people are wearing their Samurai Blue to work after watching the game at 530AM.

It is so refreshing to watch World Class Soccer matches, with the various styles matched up against each other, and especially without the commercial interruptions that are such an integral part of all of the major sports that are enjoyed in the US.

Hopefully, the dramatic and inspirational turn of events for the US team will create more fans of the sport in the US of A.

    Go JAPAN!

  3. Hi James:

Thanks for the heads up! :biggthump

Greg actually reached out to me for the last WTB I posted, looking for a Metal FC Board, and I declined, for now, as I had already found a VSR, and recommended he post here on BOL.

I'm trying to find a board that I can ride with soft boot bindings and minimal boot out, but that Black Top Kessler sure is H.O.T! :1luvu:

I just may change my mind after all :)

    Goro

  4. Since I had great luck with my first WTB (VSR), I'll try another, since I missed out on the Black Top Kessler that was posted here on BOL about a week ago.

I am looking for a BX or freeride board @165cm, with modern camber technology including decambered nose & tail, flex to accommodate 175lbs, waist width around 25.5-26.5 to fit 10.5 sized boots, able to ride, preferably without risers, but will consider boards with narrower waist depending on what it is. I'm open to either metal or glass construction.

I'm looking for either some of the true BX boards like Kessler, SG, Oxess or Donek Saber, or freeride boards like Prior MFR Wide with Hybrid Rocker, or some of the recent offerings from F2.

Please drop me a line if you have anything that you're trying to find a new home as the season is nearing an end.

    Thanks!!

PS: Also open to an ATV or something @165-170 with 23cm waist....

  5. Bob: Thanks for the link! I was posting to see how the Saber rode from a recreational rider's perspective.

Greg: Thanks for the input! I read the earlier posts, and just wanted to see if anyone had taken delivery and had a chance to ride the Sabers in production. I appreciate the comparison with the Reto, as that was my soft boot carver, until I sold it last week. (And I actually sold all of my boards, so I'm boardless until the Coiler gets delivered! :biggthump)

I'll definitely contact Sean when I get my finances in order to see if the Saber would be a good fit, or if he can do an Incline with a de-cambered nose & tail!

    Cheers!

  6. Spring Cleaning Sale:

Rad Air Reto Lamm LSD 164cm

A softboot carving/BX board that you can also ride with plates.

25.5cm waist, 10.5m sidecut, the edges are perfect, base has some light scratches, but nothing that requires repair, and will come with a coat of storage wax. Top sheet has a few small nicks from the lift line. It came to me almost new, and I only took it out a few more days, so in very good to almost new condition.

$200.00 Shipped OBO, a bit more to Canada
