  1. Another fan of Rays waxing tube and side edge polisher. If you have a nice tune on your ride then it's easy to keep the edges just perfect if you touch them up every day. And the waxing tube makes a fast gliding ski or snowboard too, I like to hit it with the rotobrush after pushing the wax in and it's faaaast!

For big stuff I use a pansar file and guide...or just a visit to a quality shop. I use hot wax maybe once a year if I want to hot scrape a bunch of junk from my board or right after a grind.

Some good music, an adult beverage, and a couple of boards to touch up and it's a fun time!

  2. That's pretty much what I have:

Madd 158 - short carving board

    Prior 4WD 164 - all-mountain board

Prior WCR metal 173 - long carving board

I also have an Alp 156, which doesn't get ridden much anymore, but makes a good rock board.

Yeah, so you've got the three plus a rock board and you might need a GS race board too. And a loaner. Maybe a deep pow board. But that's still only 6, right?

  3. Yeah, when we lived in a bit more urban area, I rode it everywhere. Snce we've moved to the boodoggles it doesn't get ridden. It's a 19" frame ( BB to top of seatpost). Anybody into this sort of thing?

Dang! My wife capped me at 10 bikes but sheeze, that rocks!

  4. Hey. I'm going to clean it up, custom tune it and stone the base. Then we'll see if its rideable. It is a regular footer so I think I'll keep it around.

After the fact It will lovingly hang up next to the Craig Kelly collection.

    Cheers.

Ah nuts, I would have offered 3 times your purchase price if only it was goofy ;)

  5. Ah, OK, alpine bindings, snowboard boots, might cause an injury of even death (!), I've got it! Seems there should be a way to have one boot work properly with snowboards and skis...would cut down on the junk a guy needs to do both.

  6. Hey, that place looks kinda cool! Especially for the park guys.

Global warming, if you believe in it has hit the UK real bad. When I was a kid, thirty years ago, I lived at a place called the Lake District which is a small hilly area in the north of England. In the winter there was loads of snow. I used to miss weeks off school due to the school bus being unable to get to my village (which accounts for my bad english). I remember things like skiing under a midnight moon, having to walk (no lifts) but having the time of my life. Now our winters are crap, grey and damp, and if it does snow it melts within five mins. So this little story brings me to FastsKiguys quote . When I am not in the Alps, I have to get my fix at places like this http://http://www.xscape.co.uk/snow/castleford/ A bit like Landgraaf but way smaller. Its only good for a few turns, but when a new board gets deliverd to your house in August and you can't afford a glacier trip its ok.

So relax your immigration laws so I can move to your mountains and drink your beer and abuse all of your lovely snow!
