  5. Brian Albertson two peeps the whole event San Diego,CA
  6. Met a guy (Tim Tuthill) who puts velcro strips on tail of his board(picked up at Home Depot), runs them up about 8" up the board and across the tail....some folks need to be trainned on liftline etiqueete.
  7. Got home Thursday eve after four days of riding Mammoth and June Mt, the conditions were epic, great snow, riding/carving w/ my son 22 yrs old and Tim Tuthill from Prescott AZ. Arrived Sun. eve with light snow falling, cool temps, Monday AM still snowing, pow condtions but poor visiblity, low light. Tue AM still snowing but lighting has improved and we're able to kick it up a couple of notches and heading for the fresh pow and some trees, the pow is light and dry with some nice untracked areas, more than a foot of new snow. Wed AM we wake to blue bird conditions and head over to chair 2 and 10 for some cord and trenches and meet another carver from LA, Donny....what a day. Thurs, after some disussion we head over to June and get the goods. We're the first car in the lot and we load on the two seater with temps in the single digits (1 deg). The grooming at June is the best I've seen next to Buttermilk Aspen and the ride up chair J6 looks like carpet. We had the mountain virutally to ourselves, we had to leave Thurs but the trip was great. aloha Brian
  8. Going up Sunday, see you in the parking lot ready to ride Monday AM. It's gonna be nice with the new snow falling this week. Brian
  9. Will be heading up Jan.2-6th to get some of the mid week goods hope to see you there. Happy holidays, aloha.
  10. 163 Nidecker Tornado GS very good condition fresh tune and wax pics if interested $150
  11. In the pow I use TD1 si/TD2 si on my Rossi 185 Undertaker and Rossi 169 Levitation, no problems after 3 seasons. Nice to have the control of the board w/ the hard boots. Another plus would be to retro fit the step in cable so you can release out of the binding in pow or tree well....can't do that with straps. aloha
  12. I'll take the boots, the liners you mentioned are the thermoflex model? and could you send a pic. (I've sent you email to your address) aloha Brian
  13. Jim Really sorry to hear about the crash. I got hurt on this mt. under similar circumstances, decided not to ride this resort again due to crowds and lack of open runs for carving. Wish you a quick recovery and looking forward riding with you at June Jam. aloha B

  22. Bob Thanks for the age info, I'm surprised as the board is in almost new condition, is a more racy contempory shape and cap construction.
  23. Anyone have any info on a carving board made by Mistral Sonic model 174, yellow top sheet, black bottom, found one for sale with some Rossi plate bindings, good condition asking $160. Thank you.
  24. Jason/BOL Members I would like to thank you for your responses and everyone who has contributed to this thread, this is the reason I asked the question concerning the mag and their latest issue. From the response, it appears all of us would like to see some carving in the mag in each issue, that would be great. I hope that Randy can come back from Chile with some good material and photos for Jason to print and those folks out there that have stories and pics let's help out and contact these guys. SBJ is an excellant mag, has good stories, pictures and is worth the money. Brian
  25. Ok let's put the whining aside..... Shoot some great pics and get a good story for Jon Foster and Jason Ford to print. I've ridden with you and the guys at Tahoe and I know you can get it done Randy. How about two sides of the story, 1) guys going to Chile for the 3 world cup team members (which guys will be there) and 2) the 8 working guys going to trench. Like to help if I can and possibly see if we can have Snowboard Journal management consider coverage on carving as a regular part of the mag instead of once a year out of a quarterly mag.
