Scott Gaffney will be the head coach of the High Performance SnowboardCross team. Scott Gaffney was one of the fastest snowboarders on the planet for almost a decade, winning such events as X games, US open and Whistler World Cup. He spent the latter part of his professional career being filmed and having his picture taken, appearing in such media as Standard films releases and Transworld snowboarding magazine. TEAM CSC is proud of the successes of riders that have trained with us and we feel that Scott’s experience and coaching will add to this winning legacy of the Calgary Snowboard Club. This is the official Canadian FIS race schedule. WC is world cup and NAC is North American Cup. If Tremblant puts the race finishing in the village, you can drink beer and watch the finals, how ideal! Hopefully see you there... Monday January 28th, COP will be closed due to cold temperatures. Therefore no Masters training this week.

Allee - I think thats what most have expressed - get better at hardbooting, try some gates. Its a real social and skill improvement opportunity more than anything. and to get carvers together a bit more.

Hey, this looks good. There are 4 masters interested so far... And maybe Stu and Rob? cool. We will start January 7th. (I am in Europe up till then at races with the high performance team). We have training space reserved for those times at COP.

We are starting an adaptive snowboard team in Calgary. This will be a competitive team that trains bi-weekly and hosts training camps throughout the year. We are hoping to host adaptive categories in Alberta based races. 2 things - We are looking for volunteers to help out with setting courses, helping athletes and so on. I just wanted to give some appreciation out to all of the coaches, volunteers and parents that made this Nor Am Finals a success. And good luck to all the riders and coaches at Junior Worlds in 2 weeks CSC race team is taking a couple weeks off, then our 2007-08 training season starts late april.
