pow4ever
Found this thread: Any good carving trails recommendation is welcome. Condition/weather reports would be nice as well. I will be there on Sat (3/9/2019) and Sunday (3/10/2019).
dudedude
Was just up there this past weekend. Conditions were perfect for carving. Spring fling, snowball, and hot shot/waterfall were great blues. Organ grinder if you like rollers, and ripcord if you like steeps. If you make it over to the mt Ellen side, check out elbow and rim run. Inverness looked awesome, but was closed for racing. Even managed to share lift rides with two different hardbooters!
pow4ever
Thank you Dude^2! Hopefully the condition held up (it's been cold enough). I love it all. Seems like the norm now a day that great carving run is reserved for racing
bc1
Mt Ellen side is less crowded on weekends, and I also recomend elbow to rim run.
pow4ever
Thank you @bc1! End up hanging out with Skiers and didn't get much pure C carving done... Did tons of slarving/"regular snowboard"-ish riding; forgot how much fun it can be. Almost killed myself in the CastleRock section... Sat the mountain get chews up so fast... Sun got some fresh snow. I can see Stein's way being muchO fun when the condition is right. I can see on a weekday this would be a great mountain to play.
