Getting started in Alpine racing

Hi there, looking for some information about racing. I have been racing with a club for about 5 years, saw the Olympics and decided I needed to try the hard boots/alpine setup. So what is the next step? I know I am not ready for "world cup" but what is my next step? Went to Nastar Nationals this year which was loads of fun but looking to see something a little higher level. Thanks

HI Don - Great meeting you at Squaw Valley.   Have you acquired hardboot gear yet?  Check the for sale section of this forum.  I have a ten year old SG Giant Slalom board in a 178 cm length that I suppose I could sell at a reasonable price.

thanks for the replies. It was fun racing with you Pat Moore, and thanks for the suggestions. I have acquired a Kessler 162  with f2 bindings and some upz boots. I also spent some time getting instruction, although I still don’t feel really comfortable, which hopefully comes with time and practice.

As far as my question, I think jack answered it...sounds like  usasa is where I need to go to race more often.
