Jeffrey Day
Can anyone tell me their theories on how good the conditions will be at Vail, Beaver Creek & Breckenridge during Easter week, April 16th thru April 22nd 2006? Will these areas still be open at this time of year? Are there any opportunities to find discount lift tickets? I may have stumbled across a time share at Vail that I might not be able to pass up. Thanks for any input! Jeff
ice
Beaver Creek closes on the 16th. Vail closes on the 23rd. It's snowing now and conditions are great, but who know in April. Keystone will be open till the 23rd and Breck too I think. Summit County is always a little better late in the season (higher elevation). A Basin should be in great shape in April. All the Summit resorts are within 35 minutes of Vail.
Guest pcogan
jeff -- carving is definitely possible, but i'd bring all mountain gear too the last day we carved (at loveland) was april 23 i agree with the above: go to ABasin or Loveland, since they are higher, and will have at least the possibility of carving. it's also possible to get excellent powder days in april too send an email pcogan denver
boostertwo
Without question, the Basin rocks and is a great place to ride in mid-April. If you're considering a trip over the pass, here's beta on late-season operations at Vail. Hope it's snowing where you are!
