Many people book in the summer if their kid is likley to qualify. I have been told that Truckee is a great alternative if you can not get in at the hill. Go to www.usasa.org and read some of the forum posts there on the topic. Good luck.....it really is a fun event. Ranging out further if you do not mind a quick and easy 45 minute drive you could stay in Reno at any number of properties. and the best part it is it there are it is a "down time in Reno" Some places that I like are the Eldorado from 58 a night from Sunday to Thursday let me know if you need more leads. I'll be racing masters GS & SL. I'm also going to take the pre-race camp with Kosglow and Thorndike. Not a bad deal for 3 days of gates with coaching.
