Try carving in Ohio. The runs are so short that you never have to worry about leg burn and carving for two minutes on any one run! You are lucky to stretch it out to a minute.

thats why I pray that where my career takes me, that its near tons of snow, and skyscraping mountains:biggthump alaska?

Yes! Just a small amount of mountain biking over the summer has really helped me this season in leg strength and endurance, my legs are the last to go at the end of the day.

For a really good leg workout, take the seat off of your bike :D

Or you could get into bmx, and bmx racing. You don't even really use a seat while riding bmx. BMX racing makes my thighs burn. Oh yeah, telling a girl that your thighs burn for her can be a good pick up line too. It usually just makes the girl laugh.
