dano
Any info good/bad appreciated. Would this board be stiffer than my o2 freon 167?
wavechaser
Got one for $100 last year...you mean the 698 right? Blue with the white see-through fiberglass cloth snowflake? Not that stiff, good for big feet, will rail big board carves if needed...but mostly my main pow stick...now where is that pow?
dano
I wish there was a uniform "stiffy" index # so flex comparisons would be possible without actually buying and riding...
Mark.Andersen
Rode one as my main pow ride the last few seasons. Has decent taper (6mm?) for a standard shaped board. Floated my 195 (and climbing) pounds very well in west coast powder. I rode it with both softies and plates. I could exceed it's carving limitations even in softies, but that's not really why you're looking at it... I actually would characterize is as "fairly stiff" for a softie board. Not tanker or donek stiff, but much stiffer than a similarly sized Burton Supermodel. I also paid $100 for mine and it was worth every penny. It's pretty beat at this point and has been replaced by a Fish, but it gets some love occasionally when a "quiver challenged" friend needs a powder board.
