BIG pictures

I just recently found an easy way using standard micsosoft office software that I would assume comes with most computers.

1. right click on your .jpg, select properties and where it says 'opens with' change it to Microsoft Office Picture Manager.

2. open the file and from the 'Picture' drop down menu select 'Compress Pictures'. Under the 'Compress for' options select 'Web pages'

That's it, your file will be the correct size to post.

Criminy, a guy who is just now learning how to re-size a picture is the last person I'd recommend Photoshop to! I use it frequently, but for simple re-sizing I just use MS Photo Editor.

Not that there is anything wrong with Photoshop, it's the best software ever in my opinion, well worth the money. In fact, it's a bargain. And I'm not just saying that because one of the authors is a regular on this forum :biggthump

like I said, assuming youre on windows, that PowerToys resizer is by far the simplest available. install it, and simply right click on your photo, then "resize"

600X800 is the max size allowable here using the manage attachments tab down below the reply window.

Hee hee, I have been using it for so long I have forgotten how steep the learning curve is for newbies to it....but yes, it is IMO as well, the best program ever :freak3:
