FTA2R
look at these prices: 168W Speed, List $469 SOLD 159 Factory Prime, List $499, now $350 156 Ultra Prime List $499, now $299 157 Burton Alp, List $349, SOLD are you kidding me! and who would be dumb enough to spend that much on an Alp. All those boards were significantly cheaper on klugriding.com a year ago. I guess there are uninformed people everywhere who will pay these prices. P06781
I am sure they forked the $ out ahead of time to burton hoping someday someone will buy someone will buy some back in the mid 90's. Its a hard business trying to predict what people will buy.... Jim
Art
I go by there on the way to my sis-in-law's place and stopped in last year. I think I might have offended when I said I thought the prices were a little high, but did not intend to. However, with lots of family involved in owning a local shop that is perceived with having high prices, there is more involved than just product (a knowledgable labor force, overhead, liability/health insurance, advertising). Support your local shops as best you can. On the hill I know we all promote BOL, Donek and the like, but dont forsake the local shop for trying to make a living. $0.
