tpalka
I'm going to visit my family in Poland over Christmas break, and thought of heading to Slovakia for a week of skiing or boarding. Right now I'm thinking of Mt. Chopok, with the resort of Jasna on the south side. From internet research it seems like the best choice. Does anyone have first-hand experience with it? I'd like to know what snow is like in late December / early January, whether the runs are fit for carving, and any other info I can get :) Thanks, tom. Ladia
I would be worry about snow conditions in the end of December. I can not give you any up to date information, I was there about 20 years ago.

Victory
A few years back I rode in Zakopane, Poland...it was really fun, and the mountain was considerably larger than I was expecting. My family is Czech, so I am over in that region quite a bit. The local hills are quite small, but I can't speak for Jasna in Slovakia. As said above, I hear that they are doing alright for snow this year. Have fun! Broz
