TJR
Getting ready to pick up a pair of Catek FR2 soft boot bindings- Is there a YouTube/ video tutorial for mounting/setup? Thanks J
rjnakata
I love my FR2's From the Carver's Almanac: http://www.alpinecarving.com/binding_model.html#catek A pdf from the Catek Site: https://www.catek.com/resources/FR2_IM.pdf Edit: I think you got FR1's from Snowcoach? Those are great too! Simpler setup than FR2's and burly. Edited January 27, 2020 by rjnakata

FatFingert
I thought Catek was no longer making bindings? Where are you buying these? I have a pair from about 7-8 years ago, but had to improvise with an after-market toe strap when one started slipping. I wish I could get a new pair... Congrats. Just plan on spending a bit of time fiddling with them, which is the best way to learn. Buy a s***-ton of extra hardware. Scrounge and hoard the custom bits. Refit straps and highbacks (I used Ride parts which feel interchangeable). Perpetually question whether you should move into something more current/accessible/lightweight/sensible. Be wooed back by the machined surfaces and timeless good looks...

And don't be surprised if someone goads you into trying to buy something from the defunct Catek website. It won't take your money.

No self respecting person would do that.
