Prior 4WD 179

Good condition used for 2 seasons... the second season was light use. Base is great! Just had it tuned. Edges fantastic and sharp. Many more pow and  corduroy days ahead for this great board. Loads of camber.  Summer wax still on it.

Sold!!

HA! Well, Im sorry to disappoint you but it is indeed a 179. I am 6'6" and haven’t been on a 169 since I was in softboots as a teenager. The Thirst is a 173 and my Coiler is a 180. The angle of the photo is distorting. Maybe a 179 is for you though? Longer is better in pow.

Yeah, you're probably right about longer being better in pow, but I use my current 4WD (a 164) as my pow/trees board. I normally ride a 170 Proteus (and Kessler) for straight out carving, and use the 4WD for the off-groomer stuff. So I think a 179 would be just too long for the trees! I busted up my 4WD yesterday on the Wall in Snowmass, hit some pretty gnarly rocks below waist-deep powder (kind of messed me up a little too). So ideally looking for a 164 or 169.

Is your Prior 4WD still available?  I've got feelers out for another board, but if it falls through, I might be interested. Does your model year share the spec's as those currently shown on the Prior website (image linked below)?

Done!  How could I forget that - I guess I was so excited about getting this board that I missed the most important detail.

Love that surf shot in the background...  did you take that one yourself?  My boardsport hit list still has surfing, long-boarding, and kite boarding on it.  Too many boards not enough time!

Hey no sweat brother. I've done that before. I was hoping to get your address before our post closed here as I don't think they will be shipping out until Tuesday because of Presidents' Day. But I'm going to drop it off at the pack'n'ship tomorrow. They will make sure it goes out first chance. I'm  anxious for you to get it and rip it up.

I didnt take the pictures but that's the beach my wife and I lived near in San Diego almost a decade ago. If you want to surf go to Encinitas Cali. Nothing like the surf culture there.

Aaron Chang was the photog.  We have many of his pieces. Check him out!

Ill keep you posted on your board.

Yup... that's why I rushed to get the payment before work yesterday...  "best laid plans..." an all that   No worries... it will get here before winter is over, although you wouldn't know it from the record breaking high temperatures that we had yesterday.  Mother Nature has a way of crushing the hopes of all the people who wish for an early spring.  Thanks for keeping me posted.
