  1. Hello, I am looking to buy some UPZ's for my wife (who is currently running the DeeLuxe 325) but when I go to the local distributor website, they don't have the 24-24.5 mp which is what I think she needs (the lowest they appear to run to is the 25-25.5). Can anyone please advise whether the 25-25.5 will work if she uses a 24-24.6 on the DeeLuxe? Thanks! Adaś
  2. As an owner of both a 170 SG Full Carve and a 178 Coiler VCam (which I only got at the beginning of last season), I must say these are both AWESOME boards and you guys got a great deal! The SG is so poppy and fun and I love to ride early and late season, with the 178 VCam for the main part of the season when we have good snow coverage. Both just lovely boards - well done everyone! ?
  3. Thanks Neil - I was a little tied up with work today, so missed out on bidding - I'll PM you about perhaps bundling a few of your remaining items...
  4. Hi Neil, I am really interested in buying some of those mags (I have a few TW Snowboarding issues from the very early 90s and am such a sad-sack and keep re-reading them, especially at the moment as I hang out for the snow to fall in Aspen!) I had a quick look on UPS to try and calculate shipping and it looks fairly pricey. I am in Snowmass (we met at SES a few times, I'm a Kiwi who ended up marrying a local here in Snowmass) - have you had any experience shipping mags like this to the US? I think buying the listing of 3 TWSB issues would cost around $20, does that sound about right? I don't want to bid and end up paying crazy money for mailing them out! ?
  5. Awesome, thanks Pat/Aracan - that is super helpful. I'll definitely look into changing out the heel screws as well, Pat.
  6. Hello fellow Carvers, I have a very frayed Fintec cable on my rear boot...I just received an F2 Intec replacement cable from our YYZ friends in Canada but unfortunately it didn't come with instructions on how to replace it (nor can I find any pictures or videos online on how to do it). Can someone please help a very un-handy person such as myself (and who's worried about making things worse) and post a video or pictorial thread on how to do this? Thanks in advance...?
  7. Thanks Queequeg, good to know - I may just reach out to Sean and get some cables locally then instead of getting them shipped from Canada.
  8. Ok, I just saw Fin's posting that Bomber 3.0 will hopefully be around the corner...so I could just wait. But I have a broken cable on one of my Fintec heels, and obviously at the moment spare parts cannot be purchased from the Bomber store. I reached out to yyzcanuck asking whether he knew if the Intec cable parts are interchangeable with the Fintec. Does anyone have experience with this? Just to clarify - the cable hasn't broken, it looks like the plastic sheath that houses the cable has broken so the cable is visible and I can technically still release the pins by pulling on the cable but I seem to be pulling directly on the cable and it's hard work, takes a while to release, and I'm wondering if that pressure on the cable will end up snapping it very soon... Thoughts anyone?
  9. Hi Ted, that looks to be the older Prior graphic (5+ years old). Any ideas on the age, and when you say 7 days riding on it, did you get it new? Or did you buy from someone else?
  10. I seem to insert this post in the 'Wanted' section each season... I keep buying 4WDs! I have a 164 4WD which is my go-to powder and trees board when I'm not busting out the groomers on the Coiler, but it's a little short and I'm over-powering it. So I would like a 169 if anyone has one out there they're willing to part with? I don't want to go too old if I can avoid it. Thanks Adas
  11. Hi Ed, yes - tdifan_2003 is right, un-scraped wax... Definitely no scars or issues with the board.
  12. BUMP - reduced to $700. This is my wife's Kessler Alpine 171, she bought it new from Fin and Michelle back in 2014 but it's only had ~15 days on it in total (7 days of her riding, 8 days of me) A few minor cosmetic blemishes as would be expected after a few days riding, but the edges, base and top sheet are all in fantastic condition. Never had a base grind, only race tunes with 1 and 3 degree bevel. Will ensure a top race tune before shipping to the lucky new owner. I'm reluctant to sell as I love to ride it myself, but the wife wants to get a new Prior WCRM as she's not so much into racing gates these days... $700 plus shipping from Snowmass Village CO
  13. Hi JShort, I have a 171 Kessler if you're still in the market and interested. It's in great condition, my wife bought it in 2014 I believe (she's a racer, around 105lbs, but is now more into free carving and at that weight, the 171 Kessler needs too much runway for her to enjoy it) and only did about 6 or 7 days on it and I've ridden it about the same amount (I'm about 175 lbs). So it's had less than 20 days in total. Black, with a nice race-tune on it. Super condition, I can post some photos if you like.
  14. Did Dredman buy it? I think he's making it his mission in life to own every Coiler ever made...:)

    Bump...

    Prior 4WD 159

Really nice 159 4WD for sale. My wife had an older 159, and wanted another - she then ended up getting a 164 so this 159 is surplus to requirements...:) Great carving board for women or lighter men, that really comes into its own in the trees and the pow. A great AM board. Really good condition, no nicks/scratches/gouges to speak of. $200 plus shipping (from CO).
  17. Sorry I didn't respond sooner guys - thanks for the offers, Shaggy and Brraap (although I see your 169 sold anyway, good deal). I did end up buying another 164 elsewhere, I think that length is ok for me for the trees and the powder days, if a newer 169 comes up then I might be interested (2016 onwards). Thanks again everyone.
  18. Hi all, I think I've broken my 164 Prior 4WD up on the Wall at Snowmass...kind of broke myself a little in the process as well! But don't want that to keep me out of the pow and the trees up there. I'm after a replacement - a 164, would possibly even consider a 169 Prior 4WD if anyone would like to part with theirs. Don't really want to go any longer than that, as this is my go-to board for the trees. Thanks Adaś

    Prior 4WD 179

Yeah, you're probably right about longer being better in pow, but I use my current 4WD (a 164) as my pow/trees board. I normally ride a 170 Proteus (and Kessler) for straight out carving, and use the 4WD for the off-groomer stuff. So I think a 179 would be just too long for the trees! I busted up my 4WD yesterday on the Wall in Snowmass, hit some pretty gnarly rocks below waist-deep powder (kind of messed me up a little too). So ideally looking for a 164 or 169.

    Prior 4WD 179

Hi there, is this really a 179? It's just that the photos make it look shorter than that (stacked against the other boards), I'm hoping it's a mis-print and it's a 169...? ;)
  21. Great review, Kip (and lovely board). Kip and I are old friends from WAAAAY back, and we have had much discussion about this Red Dwarf design being such fans of that classic show that we are ... Will no doubt be lost on a lot of folks, but those in the know will love Kip's design! Kip and I have had a lot of talk about "Stubby, or Nirvana - and even within Nirvana, is it Balance, Energy, or VCam...? How about a torsion-plus spin on a board as well?" Especially if you're looking for that 'go-to board' in all conditions. It also really does depend on your local mountain conditions as well - is it hard, icy snow, or is it softer groomed conditions...? It's a tough one. I myself am about to go through this design discussion with Bruce to figure out what board I will get him to make for me. There's a great thread in the Carving Community forum that was kicked off back in Feb of this year and seemed to die out in March unfortunately - but check it out, search under 'What Coiler would you choose' to see some great discussion and opinions offered by many folk who have Coilers... One thing's for sure - Bruce really knows how to make an awesome board, I myself have a Donek Proteus 170 (single SCR) which I love, and use of a Kessler 171 (my wife's!) which has that progressive Kessler side-cut technology, and also a glass SG Full Carve 170. All these boards have such different personalities, and I just know that something from Bruce will provide something else as well. Good stuff Kip, can't wait to ride with you again my friend - and long live the Stubby! Boys from the Dwarf...
  22. Michelle, A sad day for Bomber and indeed all of us BOL'ers and SES'ers. And also sad for us "local" friends... Leda and I look forward to heading down to the Springs to experience your wonderful new adventure. But SES definitely won't be the same without you! You have been truly wonderful, helpful, friendly - just a darn good sheila. And an amazing friend! All the very best of luck to you, and see you soon! :)
  23. Kip - how much were these Thors? I'm thinking mittens might be the way to go now (particularly as my gloves have worn through this season)...actually, it IS my birthday coming up this weekend, you could always send me a pair as my birthday present! (Although I would have to figure out what to send you for yours...) ;) Ah, wouldn't it be nice to track down some pairs of our old Peter Bauer gloves...?
  24. Nice, JNG - cool graphic, and I love the 'simple' Coiler logo - I presume you asked Bruce to do it in that font, that's not a standard option he has...? Very cool.
  25. Corey, I thought you already has a Proteus?!? LOL! Or was that a 175 or 180...? I love my 170, a nice turney board (being an 11m SCR) but still good for longer turns too.
