wantok
Trudeau used to instruct at Whistler in the 90's. CBC ran a 2003 photo of him, "built for speed", making a pretty clean turn in soft boots at Mont Tremblant.
crucible
It's gonna be entertaining watching his RCMP protective detail trying to keep up with him now on the slopes, if he ever gets back on snow... Who knows, maybe he and Vladimir Putin can do a Chinese Downhill race during the next summit!
John E
A competent snowborder to head a nation? That's more credibility than most of our candidates down here. Good on ya!
Tabatha
Our new PM has had quite a colourful history on and off the snow. Tragically, his brother was killed in an avalanche in BC and before starting his political career, Trudeau became a founding director of the Canadian Avalanche Foundation, a charity that supports avalanche research, education and monitoring. He worked with the Canadian Avalanche Association and the Canadian Ski Patrol System to develop and fund avalanche awareness programs.
