FTWO AND BURTON DECK

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Looking for some help ...

I hope you'll help me ...

My problem is:

#1: A BURTON ALP 6.9 DECK

#2: F2 INTEC TITANIUM BINDINGS

#3: A donkey not able to match #1 and #2 together...

I previously had a P.J. and I customised my variplates to adapt the FTWO bindings on.

BUT BUT BUT  ....

Everything went wrong when I tried to put the bindings -and the variplates- on my ALP !!!

None of these two systems worked and the bolts were too large to fit in the inserts of the board.

Did someone have the same problem?

How can I solve it?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Your Burton alp has a 3 hole insert pattern and you might need a disc from f2 that works with that pattern? Other brands of snowboards use the 4 hole insert pattern. I can't tell from the picture if you are lined up properly over the inserts with that disc? You might post more pictures to make it possible to tell? Burton Variplates will not work with your Burton Alp as they were made for the 5 hole pattern that Burton used to use years ago.

As said, I filed down the grooves to fit the insert pattern.

I removed (approx) 1.5 mm each side.

Now, it works and I can reach my 50cm. stance.

I'll keep you posted if any problem happens.

Right now, I can't test it as there's no snow in the southern Alps ...

Bump to say that they are amazingly high ... for the S&H charges....

they ask 30EUR. to ship from Italy to France ... I received a compound from the U.S.A. for less!

I asked them because I'm also looking for dampening pads ... I was "surprised" that S&H is twice the price of the dampers! ...

May be a good deal for overseas shipments ... as I've understood, it's the same wherever you are.
