AaronG
Just checked the Summit snowmaking site and they are sending 4000+ gallons per minute up the hill. The highest rate I have ever seen on their snowmakng was 6000 gallons per minute. If they can continue to make snow throught out the day tomorrow I would anticipate an opening of early next week. I will let you know as soon as I hear from one of my higher up friends at Summit
surfnsnow
Sounds good. I think it's time to take the bike rack off the car and replace it with the ski/board racks. It'll be good to see all of you again!

AaronG
Summit is currently pumping over 6000 gallons per minute up the mtn. This is running at maximum output for snowmaking.. the pumps in the lake pump the water up to the upper reservoirs. The water in the reservoirs drains into the pumphouse and pressurize and distribute it all over the mtn. Currently they are trying to open Miracle Mile and Summit Run. Once they get those open they will concentrate their efforts on opening other terrain. If you haven't seent this video it explains what they are doing up there. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/W-ZzZh2WBtg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

surfnsnow
I've got this week to finish up at school before Thanksgiving break, which I'll be spending in Baja. (Supposed to be a moderate swell arriving - maybe.) Hopefully, by the time I get back, it'll be time to hit the hill.
