DenverSteve Posted February 20, 2012 Report Share Posted February 20, 2012 I ordered a 179 Free carve 1 Olympic from Sean in mid November 2011, and picked it up right before Christmas. I had an 02 or 03 179 fc1 for years and it was always my go-to board. The changes with the decambered tip and tail as well as the VSR are awesome! I can get of edge more easily if I need to avoid someone, and I can make any size carve work. I really like the energy and "pop" of a fiberglass board, but I add a metal board to the quiver down the line. It took some dialing-in get used to make this board work to it's potential - I increased the forward lean of my boots... But with these changes the board rips.
