Snes?

Now that the snow is finally starting to arrive in the Sierras, is there any news that could be discussed concerning SNES?

I would like to attend one of these get togethers to ride with some fellow carvers but only if you allow carvers on skis as well as boards to attend? :)

Has there been any dates discussed? I tried looking for a thread but maybe with the new forum page those older posts were eliminated.

Neil, Heading up to June this weekend. Will probably see Eric to pick up a board. I am most likely in for 3/24 and 3/25. Will try for 3/22 and 3/23 if my schedule allows. Let's go grab lunch with Jake next week to discuss SNES if you are in town. I am willing to help out for SNES on the days I will be there. Thanks! Tom

Neil,

If possible recommend re-confirming dates asap. MMSA just had a large layoff and rumor mill is more may follow:( Also heard through the grapevine that an estimated 16K (yes) MVP's did NOT pick up their pre-paid passes this year:(

Dam, that is some bad news about MMSA. What a financial mess they are in.

Yes things are VERY bad up there.

There is serious talk of the town having to file BK Chapter 9! TOML lost a huge lawsuit with MLLA to the tune of 42 mil including legal costs. Goes to mediation shortly, but TOML cannot afford to pay much. Also LADWP is going after water rights. The town management has not been doing a good job. IMHO MMSA is ripe to be bought................very soon for a discounted price given the stuff going on with the town:(

Rusty is going to be posting a detailed response in the local forum shortly. Should be an interesting read.

Any news? I am happy to spend my hard earned dollars in town for SNES. Not that it helps but...I need to plan for it. Even if it turns out to be another day at Summit. Like last year, I set aside the (hard to come by) days and the event was moved to another weekend. Thank goodness there was a small group that still attended the first scheduled date. Just want to ride with everyone! And perhaps demo some gear. Otherwise, I will have all of my hard boot gear for sale so that I can order that quiver killer, soft boot deck from Sean Martin and the boys at Donek.

Mp 26 track 700t with the toe punched out

burton race plates/neon yellow with 6* cant

ultra prime 62 demo/ purple top sheet

td-1 with multiple riser discs

burton free carve mp 27

burton fusion 165

I have a meeting with Eric today regarding this. I'll fully confirm this with you guys later today. :)

Also, sorry again for moving last year's event, but as you saw from the weather conditions, there was simply nothing that could have been done to have a real carving event that time. Mother nature always has the last word.
