fluke
O.K. so I got some intec heels finally along with an intec binding. After mounting the binding and heels, adjusiting size and fit and cklicked in, I noticed some space (about 2-3 mm) between the boots' heels and the plate. The boots don't seem to rest on the plate, but rather "hang" in ghe bindings. Well, not entirely, for there are some small parts sticking out of the heels where the boots have contact with the binding. Now, is that something to worry about? Apart from that small space under the heels everything looks okay. Thanks, Fluke
Neil Gendzwill
That's the way it's supposed to be. Lets a little snow build up in there and it still works.
bschurman
Also don't forget to put a light coating of synthetic grease on the ramps of the bindings and the Intec pins too. I use Pedros Syn Grease which you can get at really any bike shop. You can also lube the cable while you are there too. I put a small coat on the ramps everyday that I go out. Also getting out of the bindings is a 2 step process. You must first put downward pressure on the heel, pull the cable and then pull your heel out of the binding. If you just pull the cable while pulling your heel out of the boot you will damage the pins and the receiver on the binding. ->Ben
