mikeportnoy Posted November 28, 2004 Report Share Posted November 28, 2004 ive been in school forever and ive been out of the loop. the last board i purchased was the burton pj 7. yah...its been a while. im ready for something new but am looking for something either used or a new closeout. any suggestions the best brand to go with besides coiler? id love to get the new f2 silver arrow from here but with a family and school loans to pay back, its really out of the question. philfell Posted November 28, 2004 Report Share Posted November 28, 2004 did you look in the classifieds on this site. unfortunatlly in this sport you usually get what you pay for. spend the money on a quality board like a tomahawk or coiler and you'll have one of the best rides out there. go cheap on a closeout burton and the ride will suffer for sure. my advice firgue out the maximum amout you are willing to spend and start searching, don't buy your primary board just because you got a good deal on it. also call coiler and donek directly be honest tell them how much you can spend and see if they can help you out, sometimes the make custom boards for people and the boards don't come out exactly like the person wants and bruce or sean will usually sell these boards for a bargin.
