kieran Posted September 15, 2010 Report Share Posted September 15, 2010 roughly, it goes like this; download bittorrent client (µtorrent is good) select 'create torrent' and point it at the files you want to share, and the tracker you want to use upload the torrent to a tracker (isohunt or somewhere) load the torrent in µtorrent, and point it at the source files again data is being shared. now, everyone who loads up the same torrent will start downloading it from you, except ... user A gets part 1/1000, user B gets part 2/1000. then user A gets part 2 from user B, etc etc etc. http://www.wikihow.com/Create-a-Torrent Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Do not change names of folders or files , maintain file structure. Those with better bandwidth try to keep a computer up and running at night. Sign up for the premium version for a month or so. Send a few DVDs to those willing to help share online. Speed things up big time. Perhaps start a swarm elsewhere once a few of us have the bulk of the content. Allot of the smaller files could be uploaded to youtube for the majority of those that want to be selective in their viewing. I could help with several of these. PS. I am offline, that should help for a while:biggthump Running into this one now. I find I have downloaded the same file with a different name. It would not be an issue if it didn't take 12 hours to download a file I already have. Perhaps there is a way we could all use the same file name? Just a thought.
