boarderboy
And he's tall!Moving to Delaware next month. All three counties of it... Aside from the Badlands and 'downeast' N.C., it's one of the flattest places I've ever visited. (There's a reason the world's largest Military Air Transport Service base is located there... out in the middle of horizon to horizon potato fields...) Potential for good surf down south in Rehoboth Beach. Only hills with any skate potential are way up in Wilmington - far north of the state. Tell your bro to give himself a graduation treat here http://splendidtable.publicradio.org/listings/090613/#stern reportedly the world's richest, finest, ice cream - made exclusively from the farm's own dairy milk from a herd of coddled Jersey cows... davekempmeister
Great place to file articles of incorporation, raise chickens and.....yeah, great place. Credit where credit is due, DE does manage it's Atlantic coastline masterfully. i.e., they reserve a large percentage for State Park/non-commercial use. Stand on top of your car and see the whole state. Could be a tourism poster.
skatha
Houston is still the flattest place on the planet! Barring freeway overpasses, you could roll a bowling ball from Katy to Baytown with one big push. That's 70 miles.... DE is a great state. I hope to get the hubby and kids back east after a trip to Yosemite/Sequoia/Tahoe next year.... See the Capitol... Eat some crab cakes.... Show the kids the great ancestral home of US Almys-Rhode Island... After driving 'round TX, they'll be amazed at the size of the states back east! That's 70 miles.... sometime after our 8+ hours in Gilley's ... Then again, maybe that was a freeway overpass...?! That would explain a lot. skatha
Gilley's was in Pasadena-you're talking about the Ship Channel Bridge on 610 and 225! For as scary as that bridge is, the ship channel bridge on Beltway 8 is much worse. I swear my ears pop going over it:eek:
