boarderboy
as a skateboard material. Any comments or discussion - in either thin-ply horizontally laminated or milled and foiled vertically laminated boards? Am milling two BIG oaks... Thanks! Gecko
for Vlam oak is good though you need another wood to give it some flex, the old loaded vanguards were horizontal laminated oak and IMO felt better than the bamboo. However there is a reason soo many skateboards are made from maple, it is a better material in most conditions
wavechaser
plus, have you ever tasted Oak Syrup?
KingCrimson
It's got a corny taste to it! Sorry. I made some solid oak boards, with milled flex. I think maple is less prone to splitting. I really like working with poplar though. It's made me so lazy!
