The older you get, the further you have to hold the camera away from you to see the screen. The further away you hold the camera, the more shaky it becomes. Even then, you still might need reading glasses to see the image. We have evolved to have natural image stabilization for our eyes. Bracing a camera against our head, imparts that to the camera.
