Aracan
Hi all, I have a quick question about boots: I know that Head Stratos can be modified to install the BTS. Now, stock Stratos shells have a springloaded lean mechanism, similar to UPZs but with only one spring instead of two. The Head Vectors on the other hand have a different mechanism, a lever with Walk/Ride settings and a screw that allows you to dial in your lean angle. Does anyone know if the Vectors will also take the BTS, or is the shell underneath the lean mechanism different from the Stratos? Thx in advance! Transistor Rhythm
Some problems with the lower end Head/Blax shells are shown here: http://www.extremecarving.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5993 An Italian guy built his own solution: http://www.extremecarving.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6167 So basically none of the 'off the shelf' solutions work for this model..... BlueB
It can be done. That's the same shell upper as on the Dalbello CRX/Carvex, which I and few other members, have converted to BTS. LOTS of routing is required!
Transistor Rhythm
Isn't the heel part totally open for snow after the extensive cutting that is needed?
Aracan
Thank you for replies - guess I'll stay away from that boot, then.
Transistor Rhythm
If you pay at maximum 50 euro for unused old stock you're okay. You need to do a lot of mods, not only the BTS mod to make it a good boot in my opinion (same applies to Head Stratos). If the fit is good it might be worthwile to take it anyhow and put some work in it (I like it better than Deeluxe personally), otherwise skip it.
