Fastskiguy
Cascade opened today, the surface was a bit irregular and lots of people were trying to survive the white ribbon of death but dang it felt good to get out there! Sunny and 32 degrees too!

Fastskiguy
Yeah or at least it will be soon. High speed lift, fall line runs, they have an 8 hour ticket you can sell back for 5$ before 4 hours. Not sure about weekend crowds...but during the week it's pretty quiet. Good snow and grooming. Some flat at the top and bottom but not anything like the long flats at granite peak. Manitou is a nice run for showboating for the lift too. The fast lift really spoils you! So, being from Chicago, do you make a day trip to Cascades or you go for a few days?
