scrutton
That's the word. I'm planning on doing the Crescent Ski Council gate training course that they are running that day. Maybe ride Sugar the night before... anyone interested in joining in the fun?
scrutton
This season marks Appalachian Ski Mtn.’s 48th winter season. Continuing a tradition we began in 1986 with our 25th Anniversary, 1962 ski ticket rates will be offered during the day session on the first weekend in December. Due to warmer seasonal temperatures than expected, Anniversary rates will be in effect during the day session on Sunday only. For this day only, ski tickets will be $ 5, regardless of age. As an additional celebration of our first day of the season, the first 100 skiers or riders receive a free ticket."

scrutton
Sugar's website claims its blowing, but I'm not certain whether to trust it or not. I've attached the flyer for the App gate training clinic. Snowboarders welcome. I'm doing the 'gates, gates, gates' portion of the clinic. Crescent dues are $35/year I think (approx). scrutton
Well the &%$%&'s decided to cancell the gate running course; and the entire state came out for the $5 lift pass yielding around 11am a whopping 40 minute lift-line's for a 2 minute run. Still it's snowboarding, I think. I gave up at noon - couldn't stand the lines anymore. I ran into Mellow Yellow there - my first BOL user sighting. Nice to chat to a fellow carver. Mellow Yellow
Good to meet you, too bad it was less than ideal conditions.... I did drive over to Sugar, but ended up having to head back home anyway, it looked like Sugar would have been the place to ride today.... oh well... I will probably go to Beech or App next weekend if conditions improve... just post if you are going....
