So today, i had a though... That lead to a question

so i am lift operator at my local hill.

i see all shapes and sizes on snowboard.

but i noticed today that when ever theirs a alpine guy, they're usally bigger than me all around. I'm 5' 10" 145lbs, am I nessesarly abnormal to the rest of the alpine seen? and am i at some kinda disadvantage?
