BlueB
Digging in the old photos, I've found something I'd never known I'd had... Your own BlueB 35 years ago. 1st, maybe 2nd year on skis, age just under 5 or just under 6... Note the strap bindings! Boots are lace up Alpinas. Skis are all wood Elans with screw-on edges. Let's see your 1st steps, or should I say, 1st slides.

mr_roboteye
This is circa 1979. I was about five. It was taken at a small ski area (two ropetows) called rainbow, that was located a few minutes north of Whistler on the west side of Hwy.99 in what is now known as emerald estates. My parents told me that my first time on skis was when I was three, but basically I just sat on my ass and cried. Wait a second, I still do that now, damn it. later, Dave R. BlueB
Ah you can see the advance of the technology! You actually had those bindings with the wire around the heel with clip on tensioning thingy in front... And the boots with the buckles!
