carverchick
Well it's almost that time of the year, even though it might not stick around for long this week, we received our first snow of the season at our home mountain! http://www.indianheadmtn.com/live_cam.php
Kimo
Home mountain? You live 300 miles away and it's only 650' vert. You guys need to move to Colorado. We have room for you.
carverchick
Well technically our home mountain is Cascade but we frequent Indianhead regularly and are season pass holders. Granted our dinky little mountain can't compare to the Colorado Rockies, etc, but it's something to practice on before hitting the big leagues you know. Eventually I would love to move out west. Fastskiguy
Hey it snowed just a bit down here in Rockford today! Thanks to your picture...I've got the fever bad!!
P06781
Indianhead was always one of my favorites when living back in wisconsin. Good snowmaking even and long runs for the midwest. Grew up in Marshfield and had Rib Mtn as my local (called something else now?) Jim

carverchick
Damn you Dave & Thor! You know how hungry I am to snowboard and all you can do is poke fun :P You guys are mean, real mean :P
Keenan
Don't worry about it, Colorado is over rated. All of that light and powdery snow is too dry to stick to any of the steep surfaces.
P06781
Actually the UP ski areas have pretty nice snow due to the "lake effect snow" of the the great lakes. This why most people from the mid-west travel to the UP >4hrs for 650ft of vert! Granite Peak looks way better than when I lived there.... I remember the awesome headwall of "big rib" . Used to ride my burton performer on it after it closed in the spring prior to real snowboards being allowed..... Jim
SEJ
Tahoe finally got some, a whopping 15 inches, but it's a start.
Justin A.
It's been snowing on and off up here for about a week. We get a dusting at night, and then it's gone by dawn. It's that time of the year though!
P06781
At Timberline lodge on Mt Hood has a 29" base with 11" over last 24hrs! One more good storm and maybe Meadows will open too! Would love to get some back country runs in above Tline this weekend but heading to Madison Wi for my brothers wedding. J
