Carving in Skiing Mag

I just saw in the May issue of Skiing (I have to read it because I have clients in the business... and it's better read than the current snowboard rags) a how-to piece from Chris Klug on a heelside carved turn.

A couple of pics of Klug doing a basic heelside on a soft set-up along side of a description of the "sitting in the invisible chair" technique description. It was cool to see. And there was a reference to this technique working on freestyle board or race board.

Although I've never thought of it as trying to sit in the "invisible chair", it was still cool to see the coverage in that forum.

Yes, it's me. And it is the same shot from the Bretton Woods website and brochure. And there are a few other pictures of me, my wife, and baby scattered throughout their materials.

My firm created all of Bretton Wood's collateral and advertising for last season. (we actually didn't do the web, they just picked up our stuff).

I didn't work on the account, but was asked at the last minute if I would mind bringing my family there for the weekend for a photo shoot. It was a no brainer... an all expense paid weekend at the Mount Washington Hotel. It was a blast. For the on-snow stuff we were escorted around via snowmobiles before the lifts opened. Talk about sweet groomers!

There are a bunch of other great carving shots that I only have in hard copy that the art director decided not to use, because he thought that most people wouldn't get them, they would think I was just falling down.

I'm amazed that you recognized it!
