Steve Prokopiw
Snow in the forcast above 5000 feet! Yeah,I know,it will melt before the real stuff settles but I'm just checking to see if everyone (besides b0ardski,that is) is alive and kickin. If the almanac is half right it might be even more than last year about pow than carving.Gotta get a big gun for Scweetzer and Big Mtn visits. bjvircks
Hey, Steve.. what are your thoughts about conditions in your neighborhood Dec 20 to Jan 3 ?? I might be able to drag myself out that way. Brad
b0ardski
Schwietzer got 11in this week but the freezing level went to 7000ft so we're almost starting from scratch. That said the long term forecast is looking good for steady snow thru Nov. should have "new board coverage" before christmas.
Steve Prokopiw
emailed you with my thoughts. My main point was that we hardbooters can always make the most of less than epic conditions at that point in the season.Lookout,Silver and Scweitzer are all within reasonable driving distance so you can follow the best snow pretty easily. If you do a little reverse psychology on the whole 'always snows the day the Christmas clients leave' thing maybe it will snow a ton before you head home.Still trying to figure out how to manipulate the space /time continuum myself. b0ardski
I'm going to skewer a pineapple on an old ski and use it for the center post of a bonfire. Much dancing, drinking & merry making will take our message to ULLR asking to put the freeze on the dreaded "pineapple express":(

Steve Prokopiw
We could all quit our jobs for a few days, get Loveland fourpacks(cheap!),carpool down and ride with the Lovey crew, maybe a day or two at A Basin, say hi to Fin and Co in person, sleep on some floors and live like we did back in our bum days, and then come back and beg for our jobs back. That's all I got cuz prayin aint workin.I even promised God I wouldn't look at porn the whole winter and still nothing.
bjvircks
are there any volcanoes around there you could throw a virgin or two into? I've been watching the Silver Mtn webcams and getting nervous.

I've been watching the Silver Mtn webcams and getting nervous. A virgin, not so easy, let alone two. This could very well be another season that gets started right after Christmas/New Years week.It will start snowing the 3rd of Jan and won't stop until May.Saw this many times in Colorado. b0ardski
let me know if you come up to sandpoint Steve, no CO trip for me. I feel a GM exec, have to leave the Jet at home & can't even afford to put gas in the car. Not sure when they'll open but it may be only the beginner run to start unless it snows next week, you'd never get the 197 on edge:eek:

Seasons
Are we back to Virgins? Kinda of got discouraged for a minute last night with my skier jerk friends moaning of no snow. Like I am not feeling the pain! I was told that my pain was actaully less due to riding only one plank??? My arguement was that I SB/Carve and Ski. How could a snow slut not feel the pain? How could this be? Just got a bunch of blank stare's A quest for said Virgin did begin there after. We found some good sports during spirits last eve while out and about. But no Virgins! Did find a skunked little person in a Elf suit that was very helpful inour search for virgins. He was almost ready to sacrifce himself for the cause.(Just one more Cocktail would have done it.Damm!) But his wife called and he had to go home. Saved by the Bell!

Steve Prokopiw
Steve et al.... how are conditions at Silver? Even with the latest snow the webcam shots look iffy. As we all know around here;"If you don't like the weather, just wait a minute" We are supposed to get more snow during this week. What we doo have is lots of wind and extremely cold temps.Woud be great if silver invested in snowmaking and a more windproof(than the ill routed gondola) quad or two instead of the 'let's get fat and lazy'waterpark.Am I bitter?NOOOOOOO!!! They are supposed to open later this week so I'll be on with a report after that.
