Bobby Buggs
Ok for my unsolicited and probably unqualified tip of the week, how to hold a toe side on the steeps even going over ICE. For regular foot rides take your left hand and touch your left/front boot cuff. Keep that hand on that cuff until your ready to get into your heel side turn. If your hand is on that boot cuff it’s quite hard to lose the edge. You will go right over the shiny Ice without breaking loose. Try it and see Obviously you expert riders already know this subtle trick but I was in a sharing mood.
Jack M
similar item in our Practice Drills article, except front hand touching rear boot cuff. That's a bit extreme and certainly no way to ride around, but it's something to try. Helps get people out of the habits of facing the toeside edge, bending over at the waist, and reaching down for the snow.
Bobby Buggs
Prevents over rotation and helps allign the shoulders to the hill. You can reach for the snow all you want with the inside hand but your other hand keeps you from tipping the shoulders the wrong way. And maintaining the stacked or aligned position over the edge
