If you guys are riding long enough tomorrow, stop down for some grub afterwards (we open at 6) - first round is on me.

I was at Mtn Creek today - holy effin ice rink. The rain seems to have matted down the groom which then froze to a solid brick. With temps in the teens tonight I wouldn't go anywhere near that place tomorrow. Mt Peter, on the other hand, takes such good care of their snow. The same people that groom it, ride it - so they seem to really care. I'd be there as well if I wasn't working.

Thanks Eric... Was there any evidence of snowmaking starting up this evening?

Its unfortunate, the conditions at MC were quite good prior to this rainstorm. It was warm this morning and temps started freezing just after noon. There's not much they could have done to revamp the snow due to the timing of the rain/thaw/freeze.

I didn't see any obvious evidence of snowmaking - but I wasn't really paying attention either.

I'd bet conditions will be much better at Mt Peter. They're pretty good at damage control when it comes to bad weather. Although 40 deg rain followed by a 17 deg night is a tough one.

Hope to make some turns with you again - it was great to meet you.

MC was blowing snow this morning (Thursday). I'm sure it was as hard as a rock last night. I will be riding tonight at MC with my daughter on the Sugar Trail. If conditions aren't bad I will drop her off and then ride hopefully with others (Shawn I'll call you). If not then I will be riding tomorrow late afternoon into the night. It sounds like Mt Peter this Sunday morning. Please post if this is a definate thing.
