I don't want to spam the forum anymore (although I am right now).

I personally learned on an older set of F2 bindings that were fully metal. I don't believe it impaired me at all. At least I didn't have to buy something else as I got better...

Definately yes.. My son started this year on a Sims board and TD1 step ins ... first day he was carving up a storm.

TDs are great bindings for anyone- beginner or advanced. Go for it!
