hockey2
Fin suggested that I not go so far with my binding angles when learning. Since I won't be leaning that hard it should have too much of a problem with toe drag. Is 45 degrees too much? What would you guys suggest? MUD
This isn't going to be really helpful, but. I would say find something that is comfortable with as little overhang as you can get away with and still be "comfortable". As you are learning you will get the hang of it and you will eventually boot out, it is rather brutal if you are not expecting it and you boot out in a good carve. You can hit the ground REALLY fast. Other than that, I got nothing.
Loc
I just started riding hardboots this season and my first time out I had bindings set to 40 something. I can tell you I ate it HARD I moved it down to around 20 degrees and regained control. You can increase the angles each time you go and work your way up. I actually ride with my softboots in around 30, so I'll start around there. I'll bring my 5mm wrench with me and keep adjusting as I get more comfortable. I started off at a higher angle and worked my way lower. maybe i'm just dumb
ike
I think I'm at 47/45 degrees, which I've been at from the start. I've been to scared to change it, because it seems to be working :)
scotts.Scheinman
I'm at 50/43. I like to keep my front foot at a higher angle than my rear foot.
