What's the typical process for sales through the classifieds?

I just put couple items for sale and as I get a few replies, I realize that I've never done pure online sales (just local ones, meeting the buyer in person).

I didn't see anything with regards to this on the FAQ.

What's the typical process for payment & shipping?

most of the deals I have done have been paypal or USPS money order

send money - then ship once money received...

Check out the profile of the person you're buying from. If they've been here awhile, and sold stuff before, don't worry. If they're brand new, you could see if they've got a good reputation on the 'bay, ask them for references, or use an escrow service. Escrow.com is ok, as long as you never try to pay by check or money order (they'll take two weeks to clear the payment). Figure on a fee of around $25.
