groovastic
Hi all! I think I'll get myself a SG Cult 169. The only thing that warries me is that it's got only 134 cm eff edge Do you think it's gonna be enough eff edge for carving groomers? Thanks http://www.sgsnowboards.com/
D-Sub
That's a REALLY short sidecut radius for a "carving" board. I don't know how much edge comes into play, but the radius sure seems short.
kjl
A 9 meter sidecut is short, but not unheard of; the smaller sizes of the Donek Axis had similar sidecut radii, if I remember right.
Erik J
On a smaller mountain, a smaller sidecut can give you more turns per run. On a bigger mountain it may wear you down faster, it's more a mater of preference than whether or not it will work. The effective edge is fine. I bet you'll have lots of fun riding this board. What type of terrain and mountain size do you usually ride?
Buell
Pretty board. "The ultimate freecarve and freeride board without compromise." Kind of says it all. This is not your race board. The specs are fairly close to a Prior ATV 167, with a slightly tighter sidecut. As has been said, I see lots of turns in your future. Jack M
That would be the running length of a 154cm race board.
