tex1230 Posted March 12, 2007 Report Share Posted March 12, 2007 So I stopped into Basin Ski/Out of bounds snowboard to look around and ran into Vin Q - still working there. For those that don't know Vin is the guy whose pic gets thrown up every time someone says "you can't lay out carves on soft boots" I asked him what he's riding now... For those of you with deep pockets, check out the Palmer Platinum LE (if you can find it) - he had his personal board in there - it is really light, snappy, torsionally rigid. It's also in the same price range as a Tinkler full system board or custom metal board...around $2k specs: 166 - 8.4 scr, 1295 edge, 256 waist, 44-60 stance (yeah they make them shorter but seriously...) If I ever went to softies, I'd have to consider this thing...I really like carbon fiber of course me & softies = not friendly... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
