I have to ride about 54/44 on cheap liquid bindings because I'm cursed with huge feet. I found this to work for me but it promotes horrible carving form (sitting on the toilet). I ride an old aggression assault which has about bit the dust. I find it easy to ride bumps and trees and powder, but maybe that comes from me not beingh able to not have fun on the slopes :D . I reccommend not going past 40/25 if you can help it.

The Copper Mountain Series sounds comvieniant considering I usually get the Copper/Winter Park superpass.

...for all the information. I did some more research and figured that training has a fairly hefty price. Is it possible to do races without training/coaching? If so, I think I might want to race (and probably loose) to get the feel for if I want to commit that far.

Actually, the thought of going straight from skis to a carving board scares the hell out of me. I wouldn't want to do it that way. Maybe there are some of you who have, but definitely not me. I think starting in soft boots on a freestyle board is the way to go, get comfortable on that, then work your way up to a carving setup.

I have tried my uncle's lacroix 180 skwal and it is amazing. One scrubs his armpit at each turn on a good slope. I fell in love with it and uncle bob hardly ever sees it any more. It is well loved and due for retirement given how it has negetive camber.

I've been hardbooting for 2 years and want to race the '06/'07 season. Who do I call? What do I need to do? How does this system work? I am in colorado and can go anywhere within reasonable time (2-3 hours) of Denver. So who has the programs? What organizations do races for alpine snowboarding? Please point me in the right direction.

...got to be Deer Valley, Utah. I went the year before the olympics. No snowboarders allowed:barf: !!!! I had to relapse back to skiing for one day. I spent the rest of my time over at Canyons and park city after that.
