  1. Hi groovastic. Have you got your Impact yet? I noticed you said that the Pogo didn't hang on quite as well as your RC, is that true. Also I hear the Alp Pogos have a very short nose. I find boards with short noses tend to fire snow (if it is at all soft) at my hands or face if I'm low enough. Maybe I'm just not going fast enough.

Pogo is an interesting option. One of the guys from down at our hill bought a 210 tyring to break the world speed record. www.speedboarding.co.nz but they put the edges in slightly crooked which made things rather interesting at speed.

Where do I find specs on these boards?

Have you riden a Kessler or Holzinger? The only guys I've seen rideing a Kessler are the Hardbooter.com guys.

I haven't got the Impact yet, but I'm thinking of a custom Pogo. If I'll have enough money

Impact realy has a very short nose, but I had no problems with it. Maybe because of the perfect snow.

And now I'm crazy about boards with short noses because they are lighter and easier to maneuvre, and yet remain a long eff. edge. And this one has no tail at all... I love it!

Look at the specs here http://www.pogo.biz/shop/product_category_displayE.php?cPath=24_42&language=en

I've never riden Kessler or Holzinger.

I'm also interested in Holzinger (Tropical Tube)! Are they dump like Coiler or more lively, like Pogo?

I tried Virus and loved it, but I think Pogos are much cheaper and about the same quality. that's why I choose Pogo.

  2. I like lively, poppy boards that love to edge on hard icy stuff. So before this ends up sounding too much like a personal add...

Has any one ridden both of these. Which way would you lean for head banger type rideing?

I've got RC 175 custom, and it's very dump!

Maybe it's a Pogo Impact you're looking for

  3. Hi all!

i wanted to ask if it's really true that Pogo and Virus boards last forever. I mean, we all know that even a custom made board doesn't behave same after 100 or 200 days riding, as it used to on the 2nd week after purchasing it.

so is it worth paying Eur1000 or more for those boards if they really last for years? and does titanal affect it in any way?

    thanks

  4. no the wood is inlaid to the titanal over the zylon

    WOW! Crazy techno stuff!

Is that like 3000 euro board??? how much did you pay for it?

have you already tried it? it's more lively than dump I guess, right?

Do you know if it's possible to test something like that in Europe?

    I realy love it!

I've tested Virus Nightmare and Pogo Impact this winter and I must say they're great! In the beginning, Virus' width felt strange, but when I got used to it.... wooooofff! Banging! :biggthump

  5. ohh, kinda random and out of the blue, how do the arbor alpine boards ride? they look delicate... beautiful, but delicate. are they good for hard carving or more of a soft carving board?

I hear they are rather soft.

but arbor dosn't make alpine boards any more

  6. Im boored... I need some shiney boards to drool over. I know theres a few arbors and such floating around here... so who's got a woodie? doesnt need to be alpine or full wood, inlays are acceptable.

    heres mine:cool:

    Yeah!

I tried a Pogo Impact this winter and simply loooooooooooooooooved it!

  7. Nice pics, I really love wood boards and am a huge fan of Arbor's. I have a 170 A-Frame, 165 and 155 Mickey Munoz. The rest of the boards in these pics belong to friends that also like Arbors.

    WOOOOOOOOWWWW
