i have heard this comment a few times and my response is " i will stop making ruts if you stop making moguls"

It's Dobar dan ;)
I don't ride in croatia since there's only one hill close to my town and it's only 1000 m high...
i usually go to Slovenia for weekend rides
better stick to croatian coast. not the hills ;)

I don't think you should go for SL or GS specific boards. I think Silberpfeil would do just fine.
maybe it would be good to test 2 or 3 different lengths to decide wich one to get.
just my 2 cents
but i think renntiger gs 168 would work fine too

As Trikerdad said, AM boards like 4WD are not for you if you're not gonna spend time off piste. I'd go for something like FreeCarve or Race/Carve board.
I must say I somehow prefere European boards, so I'd say Silberpfeil or some SG or Nidecker or Goltes would be a good choice.
I think European boards are a bit easier to ride and stay cambered for longer period of time. Especially boards like Pogo or Virus, but they are really expensive!
Welcome to the carving world

GREAT!
That's what I'd like to do. Maybe in Pogo or Virus or some other European factory...
I've been thinking about it for 3 years now, but I still haven't done anything about it
how long did it take to make that beauty?

So when will you tell us how it rides?
And can one chose how he wants a Custom edition board to be made, like yours has Titanal with a Zylon, Carbon, Kevlar construction.
Can I have a board with Titanal, Vectran, Carbon and Kevlar construction made?
What is a price range of Custom edition boards?
And can it look like the attached one? Or is it the same as yours, just looks different because of the light?
Thanks

Catek OS2 Step-In long with D3 elastomer kit is what I would like to buy.
So if somebody has Cateks for sale...
thanks
-
it's 169 cm
Elements are snappy too?
Is Element any good in non perfect groom?
thanks again!

I bought Xtasy FreeCarve Element Wind on ebay.de for € 190 :p
list price is € 529!
Anybody ever tried any of the Xtasy snowboards?
I haven't got it shipped yet, and I'm eager to know what it's like.

Sorry for being annoying :o with metal boards again...
I tested SG Race T, and loved the metal in it! (It was my first metal board to ride)
Has somebody tried both, SG Race T and Prior Metal?
Could you say how damp, snappy, lively, turny.... they are compared one to the other?
They seem to have quite similar specs, except for radius. SG's radius is bigger.
Thanks!

can metalburners be tested somewhere in austria, italy, slovenia or maybe france?
-
I don't know if I would describe metal boards as torsionaly stiffer, and longitudinaly not stiffer, but I know that metal seems to somehow adjust it's shape to the slope and it feels like a board follows the snow perfectly!
just my 2 cents
-
I DO like metal!
At least the SG Race T I've tried! I liked it much more than non metal SG boards
-
thanks guys!
so, if say, I like Virus model A (non metal) better than say Coiler model B (non metal), is it likely that I'll love the same Virus model A only with metal better than the same Coiler model B with metal?
thanks again
-
It's a stupid question, but I tried only one metal board (SG Race T 78) and loved it.
now I'd like to know if all the metal boards on the market (Prior, Coiler, Volkl, Virus...) have the same feel, or is there any difference between them? Is one more dump than another, or more lively or more springy....
And does longer or rounded tail has something to do with metal?
Thanks
-
and what about Volkl RT GS?
Is it Titanal or just "partialy" titanal like silberpfeil?
Anyone tested it?
thanks again
-
Anybody tried that board?
I hear Silberpfeils are quite soft, and I'd like a good board for rather agressive carving. I fell in love with titanal, and this seems to be the cheapest metal board on the market... that's why I want to know if someone tried it.
thanks

OH MEIN GOTT!!!
I tried SG Race Titanal 178 the other day!
This Titanal thing is the most beautiful thing that ever happened to snowboarding
My english is too bad to describe my feelings so I won't say anything else.
Happy New Year and ride Titanal!!!

I tried AM Alpine (Cult) 3 days ago, and it holds edge very good considering it's edge length. But I simply don't like the style of the board...
I tried SG 178 Titanal too and LOVE IT! It was my first metal board to ride ever, but I simply love this metal feel!!!

I've had that problem with my UPZs when I bought them. I've been playing with different canting and now I have no more troubles.
Luckily, I have Cateks

keep them very tight! I almost ruined mines by not tightening then enough!
