Sorry to revive an old thread, but I had some questions...which burton models are the bad ones that are prone to snap, and which are the good ones?

I decided to try out Mt Holly last Monday, and Friday, and I was suprised at how nice it was...the Mach I Express really made me happy! :-D
On Friday I saw a hardbooter, but I could not catch up to him, I was always 1/2 a run behindhim...just curious if he is one here...

A buddy of mine is looking to get into some-what alpine'ing. He's just spent a ton of money of skateboard related purchases, and is buying a new Mazda, so he wants to keep the price down as much as he can. This what he had to say:
I come from a longboarding (skateboarding) background, I like carving, and am at intermediate level. I'm looking for a [softbootable] lowish price, and moderately wide [cause i wont be riding both feet angled forwards] anddd pretty durable for some mild jumps. I'm 5'11'' and 160 lbsThanks,

I'm so happy we finally have snow! I'm going to either PK or Alpine, either tomorow (Friday), or Saturday; depending on wrestling practice scheduling...

And really who wants to talk about snowboarding when you can just go ride and discus it on the chairlift. Its January!!!! Less talk more riding!!!

I've been here for about a year. I took most of the summer off due to lack of stoke due to lack of snow; but I hope I'm not apart of the negative changes coming to this forum. This forum was such a great help to me. If it wasn't for this forum I'd still be riding a twintip.

I like my $10 goggles from target...but PAT! It's been while. I was thinking of emailing you actually. How much are season passes at pk? Mabye we'll be boarding soon.

Our customer service is open 23.275 hours a day, 7 days a week. We also offer service in Espanol, but that is only open 22.89 hours a day, 5 days a week. We are now excepting resumes from people interested in filling a position as a Canadian Translator.

If you are interested in another one of those , let me know. I picked one up last season, thinking my wife would get into it and its too small for me.
Hah, I don't think that'll be too likely. I'll probably be riding this board for the rest of my life unless it breaks or something.

I have 11 screws and 2 plates in my left arm due to those pieces of crap.The little flip bails can slide on the teeth under heavy load.I landed a pretty big jump and the rear binding kind of pre released like a ski binding on impact, it just slide enuf for my boot to come out. That resulted in a few cartwheels and I came down hard on my arm...snap.2 weeks before a trip to Crested Butte. Throw them away, they suck.I've never had a problem with Burton race plates, they're great.
Yah, um I'm fine...skor can have them :)

...you can still have them. I don't have the correct inserts. I have 4X4's but poeple have said that normal ones don't fit.
I still have to continue the search for them. If you have them already, then go ahead.
