    F2 Speedster RS 183

Here ya go: The '05 is from my high school party that I threw when my parents went to spain. They weren't too happy when they came back. I think I finished paying off the damage about a year ago (3 years later). So worth it.

board is sold and will be shipped today.
  6. I have both and the UPZs never really worked well for me. Each morning would start off with a countdown of when my foot was going to cramp up or something. Had foot beds, thermo liners, and nothing worked. The buckles kepts snapping on them as well when it was really cold out. I do like how the UPZs are stiffer but I've gotten used to the slightly less stiff t700s. You really can't go wrong with either boot. Its just being lucky enough to have them work for you. The Deeluxe fit my foot right out of the box, and I still haven't molded them. What was deeluxe thinking with that color scheme?
  7. probably the best tuning kit I can think of is either a bottle or 2 of some nice booze, a case of beer, or a bag of weed...make friends with a local shop, give them one or all of those items, and you have unlimited tuning for the season
  8. Thats probably because metal boards have a larger benefit on the ice, which I bet you guys are lucky to see none of. My freshly tuned Madd compared to the freshly tuned (by the same guy) Coiler is much more of a challenge to ride on ice. My form is far from perfect, but the metal compensates for whatever I do wrong pretty well. I love doing that, but I can only do that on the coiler when conditions are prime. The car analogy is exactly how I think of it. Especially if you ride an old board with old bindings.
  9. ask Geoff how the coilers handle in the park I just started going into the park and a Coiler is a little pricey to snap with a screwed up landing. Just learning the 360, but I'm using my F2 SL which I won't cry over if I snap it. I don't think the longevity of the boards are questioned when carving, its more about the lift line damages or from hitting stubbies. Most of the damage on my metal coiler is from standing up against a window at a resort and someone knocking it over. Hope i can send it off to bruce this summer for some minor repairs. edit: with this post i hit 2,000 posts! yay! hardboot wizard! not really though
  10. Thats kind of what NH is for one of our family friends. They have a condo across the street from Loon mountain (my main mountain). They're never there and use it for tax purposes. All their cars are registered to NH and what not, even though they spend 50 weeks a year in Mass. Wyoming, Utah, Colorodo, Montana and Tahoe are on the top of my list of places to move to after graduation. Where ever people need drugs, I can work there!:) Now all I gotta do is graduate.
  11. Gotta check that thing out then :) thanks for the info
  12. http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=24986 let me know if you're interested.
  13. I took that quiz and they gave me Jackson, wyoming and I noticed the average house is $900,000!!!! holy ****! Aspen was on that list too, but the average house is only $634,000. Never knew wyoming could be so pricey. Durango, Co was #1 on my list. Most of the places were in CO and Montana. Definitely have to keep this site in mind. Thanks for the link! Southern, NH is a pretty sweet place to live. Boston is like an hour or so away, there are a bunch of good mountains within reach, but the winters are much less predictable than utah or colorodo.
  14. Metal boards don't have that pop you get from boards like my Madd 170. I like the feeling of the Madd but there is alot less room for error.

    F2 Speedster RS 183

The little nose damage Some random blue mark thats been there since I got it. Small chip, probably from my boot. tail damage Thats just storage wax on the board. Only ding is right under the quarter.
  16. $140+ shipping or make me an offer. Up for sale is a moderately used F2 Speedser RS 183. I love this board but I have way too many and need to start thinning out the quiver. It needs alot of speed to start carving with a 16m or so scr but its a blast to ride. It has maybe 15-20 days on it. I got brand new in the 2006/2007 season and didn't really use it until the end of the season because I wasn't comfortable with the higher speeds at the time. Last season I used it a handful of times, but mainly stuck with my F2 silberpfeil which made more sense for the trails I ride. On the topsheet there are binding marks, a little nose damage I got from a twig which hasn't effected performance, and it hasn't gotten bigger since it happend on the 5th or so day that I used it. Also, a little tail damage from a skier in the lift line. Again, doesn't effect performance. Both are really easy to fix if you wanted to. There is a random blue mark in front of the front binding thats been there since I can remember. Lastly, it has never had a base grind. You can still see the dimples which F2 put onto all their bases for that year. Jrobb discusses this here. I waxed it almost every time, either with an iron or a wax wizard. There a nick on the base which will disappear with a grind. The edges are in great condition with plenty of life left. I'm 5'11'' 180 pounds and an intermediate rider and had no problem flexing it. I'm not sure what the maximum recommended weight is. I love this board and I'm sad to let it go, but I rather have someone use it instead of having it just look nice in my closet. you can post here, pm me, or email me at theglob [at] gmail [dot] com
  17. sorry thats too much for you to read, Stevo. I'll work on that next time. JD, the wind chill was waaay below 0 on North Peak. dunno how they kept the lift running. No one out there without one. Enzo, no softboots for me yet. Was gonna get some for my trip out west but that got post poned till next season due to the puppy needing to get fixed. Don't know what was wrong with her, but I guess she's not broken any more. Hoping for some nice hard pack for spring break. I'll be there everyday.
  18. On a weekend, I go without headphones, but during a week day when there are 20 cars in the parking lot, I pull out some $10 skull candy. I have some nice Shure but they block out waaaaay too much as someone else mentioned. I usually put my volume of my Zune to 1 so I can still hear my board and the people around me. No matter how loud I turn it on, I usually don't notice the music once I start the run. Only problem is that my Zune dies within 5 hours or so in the cold when it runs for 12-16 regularly. I do believe that your ears can do alot to save you on a busy day.
  19. Thats who that was! I had no clue who was calling that famous name of mine. In my country, the finger means you want it in the pooper. I didn't really want to know that. Why did you go there instead of Loon? My day started off like this: Got to Jordan Bowl at 7:45. Started heading in and my girlfriend said, "Oh my god, I forgot my boots at home...." So we piled in the car and headed off to the main lodge. Apparently they don't rent boots, only full packages. Also, they wouldn't honor one of my friends' voucher because it was a vacation week so she was gonna shell out $74. As we're heading out to the nearest ski shop, I found a brand new ticket on the ground with the little tab still on for a young adult. One problem solved. Get to the Jack Frost rental place and its $25 to rent skis, boots and poles, and $35 to rent just boots....they charge $25 to adjust your bindings to the boots. I took care of the adjustment and they dropped it down to $20. Got back to the mountain and had to pahk a mile away. Back on the slope by 10:30. Overall, not a bad day. Conditions were decent all over except for the spots of wind. I definitely have waaaay more fun at loon on any given day. +1 for the eight peaks of ****. They must've really screwed up on the counting because I still haven't counted 8. Went to Loon today and it was sick! 10-14'' of powder. Went into the trees with my f2 158 sl and it turned out pretty good. I prefer carving over the slow ass powder. I won't be out again till my spring break in 2 weeks:( Here are the pics from Monday.
  20. +3 for getting a lawyer. They sometimes have a tendency of making things....go away. Good luck!
  21. You should've seen me this past weekend. I put the ol' banana pants in the closet for the past few days, and decided go covert with just the PJ Stock shirt. I was getting OOOOs and ahhhhs all over on my favorite double green run (7 hermaphrodites). Got alot of practice breaking bad habits of stiff legged riding. Monday and today was some of the best riding I've ever had, mostly due to the tune I got from Rogers. PTC is a lil outta reach for now. Scuff, I'm sorry I didn't have the chance to scratch up your boards. I ended up waking up at around 1pm on both saturday and sunday, so a trip up north was a bit out of the question. I'll catch ya next time. Oh and I took a few runs fakie on the family trail, and I've been working on my 360. Only 270 more degrees to go. I'll be up friday. Anyone planning on missing work?
