  1. Kerry, my board is a 190cm but the same specs apply for my board as the V-O XL just 5 cm longer. I also had Chad trim down the tip some as it has a large upturn to it. It would be great for powder but in SoCal we don't get that much so I didn't need it.

I will offer it to you to use, I think you will be very surprised by the performance of the board. Give Chad some feedback is all I ask.

Good to see you and Lorie today, it has been too long my friend!

I appreciate the offer. I may take you up on it. One other question: Does your board have the metal dampening in the tail?

  2. It was good to see everyone and ride with you again today.

Aaron and/or Julian: I got on Coda's web site to check out the boards. Which model was Aaron's Coda? I don't think it was the V-2-10, but I've listed the 3 models shown on the web site below.

    V-0 170 cm

    V-0-xL 185 cm

    V-2-10 170 cm

  3. you are right about that, we just came back from June and there was at least 2 feet of powder everywhere and no grooming, the 4807 ruled

we will be back at snow summit sunday the 7th will you be there?

    Andrea,

I don't know for sure right now. It dependes on snow vs. surf conditions, but snow is certainly never out of the question. :)

  4. Would like to say the same! Had a blast the two times I made it up! Thanks a million to all who gave me pointers, I'd never be where I am in my riding without them!

Ran into John today at Mt High, asian guy with long hair? Said he knew both you and Jim Pryor. Very exciting rider to watch, he FLIES.

    Theo

That would be John Fujii. A wonderful guy and an awesome carver! He and Jim and I have had a lot of great days together on the snow, both here and in the Sierras over the years. I've been trying to get hold of him all season to no avail. I'm glad to hear he was doing what he loves to do anyway.

  5. I just want to say it’s been great meeting so many new, and hooking up with some old, HB friends this season at Summit! (This has been the silver lining to the grey cloud of Jimmy’s passing.) Lorrie and I will be heading up to the Sierra Session next weekend, and that will be followed by a trip to Cabo. I’ve had a lot of fun days and good turns with you guys and, if we don’t get to ride together again this season, let’s be sure to do it again next year. Thanks again to everyone! :biggthump

  6. Yep. Another thread for another day of carving fun.

    who's up for it?

    1) Me

    2) Andrea

    3) Chris

    4) Aaron

    5) Beppe ??

    6) Loc

It's looking like I'll be there - sans wife. The shoulder’s better, and I’ve got the new BTS springs installed. So I’ve got to try them out before the Sierra Session next weekend. Has anyone else given any thought to going to that?

  7. Here's the Specs, copied from BTS page:

    Technical Data

Long (toe side) springs = 3" (7.62cm) long

Short (heel side) springs = 1.5" (3.9cm) long

    Spring Rates: units = lbs/in (N/mm)

    Yellow "Long" Spring = 96 (25)

    Yellow "Short" Spring = 200 (56)

    Blue "Long" Spring = 144 (60)

    Blue "Short" Spring = 320 (129)

    Red "Long" Spring = 340 (82)

    Red "Short" Spring = 656 (177)

Pay attention to the numbers though...

    Thanks.

  8. Got them (Blue/Blue) :1luvu: them, but want to try yellow/yellow. Keep in mind the spring rates within the same color (according to chart) are more than doubled on the heel already.

The BTS are a 'steal' at the Sale Price.

I didn't realize the rear spring had double the tension of the front. This would almost automatically cover the fact that I like more stiffness on my heelside. I'm going to dig around on the web site to try to find that chart.

  9. I'm thinking about buying BTS springs for my Raichle AF 600s and am interested in input from those who may have already purchased them. I'm thinking about going soft (yellow) on the toeside and medium (blue) on the heelside. A few facts about myself and skill level may help with any feedback: (1) I weigh 165 lbs; (2) I ride an f2 Silberpfeil 80% of the time with my f2 Speedster coming out of the quiver on those true hardpack days; (3) While I'd like to say I'm in the advanced category of carvers :), intermediate would be more truthful; (4) I've got my Raichles set with forward flex and no heelside flex.

Any and all input would be appreciated. Good turns!
